Let’s catch up while I have some time. It is Spring break for me and the older 2 boys… we are enjoying getting things done around the house. The youngest is still in school this week, the Waldorf School never choosing to sync up with the local public schools in terms of holidays… but that’s okay. Shortly I will be over at the school watching the youngest be Poseidon in his class play. Usually I miss the play because they perform it during finals time… a tough time for a teacher to call in a sub!
The weather has been very mild this winter, which means we are home while everything is at its peak bloom. My tulips were gorgeous… and the deer didn’t get to them before they opened. So I can look out the den and see their cheerful nodding heads.
The irises are starting to open. I have yellow and purple and blue and fancy and plain… so lovely.
The blue bells are always short lived.. but they came and went and were jolly lovely.
The bleeding hearts get bigger every year and are just lovely.
Lovely blue phlox already in bloom.. spread quite a lot from last year. (Although the above picture is NOT the blue phlox – where did that pic go, and I cannot remember what this lovely blue flower is)
Some wild flowers – one bed on the outside of the veggie garden was seeded with a wildflower mix which is going crazy right now.. Lots of promise for summer bloom, and these early lovelies.. whatever they are.
And the Lady Banks Rose has outdone herself this year.. one large mass of tiny lovely yellow blooms. I love being home in the spring.
