More on the pajama front….winter pjs this time….Butterick 3548

Nightshirt pattern

I have loved nightshirts forever – and bought this pattern in my early 20s. Cut it out even, but not sure I ever made it – until now.

Don’t laugh at my fabric choice though….

This was a piece of fabric I purchased when my boys were babies – probably 12 plus years ago. I think it was the end of a bolt, and I thought I would make some crib sheets with it. It has tiny bunnies on trains all over it, but what is MORE IMPORTANT is that it is the SOFTEST flannel ever. So buttery soft, and very tightly woven and thick.

So, while not the most grown-up choice of pj fabric, also not something my boys at 18, 15 and 11 would want anything made of. So I am making a lovely soft night shirt out of it. All that is left is the button choice and buttonholes, and then I can look forward to some warm, soft winter sleeping.

I made the middle length version, B….and it is fitting perfectly. Off to find buttons in the old button box!
